"Praise Him! Praise Him!"

Praise Him, praise Him, Jesus our blessed Redeemer!
Sing, O earth, His wonderful love proclaim!
Hail Him, hail Him, highest archangels in glory!
Strength and honor give to His holy Name!
Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children.
In His arms, He carries them all day long.
Praise Him, praise Him! Tell of His excellent greatness!
Praise Him, praise Him ever in joyful song!

Praise Him, praise Him, Jesus our blessed Redeemer!
For our sins, He suffered and bled and died.
He our Rock, our hope of eternal salvation.
Hail Him, hail Him, Jesus the crucified!
Sound His praises -- Jesus, Who bore our sorrows!
Love unbounded, wonderful, deep, and strong!

Praise Him, praise Him! Tell of His excellent greatness!
Praise Him, praise Him ever in joyful song!

Praise Him, praise Him, Jesus our blessed Redeemer!
Heavenly portals loud with Hosannas ring!
Jesus, Savior, reigneth forever and ever!
Crown Him, crown Him, Prophet and Priest and King!
Christ is coming, over the world victorious!
Power and glory unto the Lord belong!

Praise Him, praise Him! Tell of His excellent greatness!
Praise Him, praise Him ever in joyful song!

Nov 29 - Prepare the Way of the Lord!

Bible Verse: Malachi 4:5 New Living Translation (NLT) "Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord arrives."

Prayer: "Dear Lord,  I don't know EXACTLY what You meant when You said that You would send the prophet Elijah before You come back, but I take it to mean that You will send an entire generation to prepare the earth for Your second coming.  I truly believe that we are living in this generation, and it excites me, Lord, to think that Your coming is drawing closer every day!  Help me to be willing to be a part of the preparation for Your blessed return -- however small a part I might play.  I may not be called to be a great missionary or preacher, but I can do small things with great purpose and live out my life as a message to others, showing them Your unconditional love. Prepare my heart to do Your will in whatever You call me to do, and may I do it with enthusiasm and great joy! In Jesus' precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 13:12 New King James Version (NKJV) "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known."

Prayer: "Dear Lord,  I cannot wait to see Your face. I have so many questions to ask You. Why do You allow good people to suffer?  Why have You waited so long to return? Why did You make men and women so vastly different? Why did you make parenting so difficult? Why did You allow evil people to be sometimes be wealthy while Godly people often live in abject poverty? Oh, so many questions . . . . But I know that You will have the answer to them all.  Give me the patience to wait and to keep on living a life of Faith until Your blessed return. Bible Verse: 1 Chronicles 16:8 New Living Translation (NLT) "Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim His greatness. Let the whole world know what He has done."

Prayer: "Dear Lord, As we gather together with our families and friends today to eat a Thanksgiving feast, may we remember not only what we are thankful FOR but who we are to be thankful TO! Nov 25 - Lord, Change My Heart

Bible Verse: Deuteronomy 30:6 New Living Translation (NLT) "The Lord your God will change your heart and the hearts of all your descendants, so that you will love Him with all your heart and soul and so you may live!"

Prayer: "Dear Lord, I dedicate myself to You today. Take my life into Your hands, mold me and shape me into what You would have me be.  I give You permission to enter every corner of my heart and change anything that needs to be changed. I truly want You to be the Lord of my life, the Captain of my ship.  I want YOU to be in charge; because truthfully, Lord, when I try to run things on my own, I usually make quite a mess.  So please, Lord, continue to work in my life.  I realize that I am a work in progress and that I won't reach perfection until I get to heaven, but that doesn't mean I can't be working on improvement now.  You're the Boss, Lord.  I give You complete control.  Do what You will with me, for I am totally Yours. Nov 24 - What a Day of Rejoicing That Will Be!

Bible Verses: Colossians 1:4-6 New Living Translation (NLT) "For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all of God’s people, which come from your confident hope of what God has reserved for you in heaven. You have had this expectation ever since you first heard the truth of the Good News. This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace."

Prayer: "Dear Heavenly Father, Oh, I Can hardly wait to see Jesus!  I cannot wait to sing with a perfect voice and praise Him in person for all that He has done for me.  It will be so thrilling to join with the billions of "saints" around the throne as we exalt You with songs of praise!  Truly, what a day of rejoicing that will be! "When We All Get to Heaven"

Sing the wondrous love of Jesus,
Sing His mercy and His grace;
In the mansions bright and blessed
He’ll prepare for us a place.

When we all get to heaven,
What a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus,
We’ll sing and shout the victory!

While we walk the pilgrim pathway,
Clouds will overspread the sky;
But when trav’ling days are over,
Not a shadow, not a sigh.

When we all get to heaven,
What a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus,
We’ll sing and shout the victory!

Let us then be true and faithful,
Trusting, serving every day;
Just one glimpse of Him in glory
Will the toils of life repay.

When we all get to heaven,
What a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus,
We’ll sing and shout the victory!

Onward to the prize before us!
Soon His beauty we’ll behold;
Soon the pearly gates will open;
We shall tread the streets of gold.

When we all get to heaven,
What a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus,
We’ll sing and shout the victory!

Nov 23 - In His Arms

Bible Verse:  Psalm 68:19 New Living Translation (NLT) "Praise the Lord; praise God our Savior! For each day He carries us in his arms."

Prayer: "Dear Heavenly Father, I don't know their names, but there may be people out there today that are struggling just to hang onto life. They feel like giving up. The weight of their past and present seem like just to much to bear and the pain that they feel is so great that they believe nobody could understand, nobody would want them, and nobody could love them.  Dear Lord, wrap them up in Your arms today and let them feel Your eternal, unconditional love.  Remind them that it doesn't matter what they've done, that You accept them as they are and can forgive ANY sin. Touch them with Your loving hand of mercy and fill their hearts with Your love.  In Jesus' precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

Bible Verse: Joshua 24:15 New Living Translation (NLT) "Choose today whom you will serve. But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord."

Prayer: "Dear Lord, Now that I have invited You into my heart and accepted Your sacrifice on the cross as payment for my sins, help me not to look back at my old life and wish for things that look like fun.  Deciding to follow You was the most important decision that I have ever made. Remind me that once my sins are forgiven, they are gone forever.  And Lord, even if it makes me unpopular to do the right thing, give me the strength to do it anyway.  Without You, I am unable to follow in Your footsteps, but if I my eyes on the cross and keep my hand in Yours, You will give me the strength through the power of the Holy Spirit to live a Godly life. Prayer: "Dear Lord,  I am amazed whenever I look at nature -- the intricacy and creativity are astounding!  You keep the planets in orbit and yet you are still aware of the movement of every ant!  Everywhere I look, I can see Your creative power at work and I worship You for being such a marvelous Creator and for giving us such wonderful and beautiful things to enjoy.  In Jesus' precious and holy name, AMEN."

"I Sing the Mighty Power of God"

I sing the mighty pow’r of God, that made the mountains rise,
That spread the flowing seas abroad, and built the lofty skies.
I sing the wisdom that ordained the sun to rule the day;
The moon shines full at His command, and all the stars obey.
I sing the goodness of the Lord that filled the earth with food,
He formed the creatures with His Word, and then pronounced them good.
Lord, how Thy wonders are displayed, where e’er I turn my eye,
If I survey the ground I tread, or gaze upon the sky.
There’s not a plant or flow’r below, but makes Thy glories known,
And clouds arise, and tempests blow, by order from Thy throne;
Creatures that borrow life are subject to Thy care;
There's not a place where we can flee, but God is present there.
God is there!

Bible Verse: Revelation 4:11 New Living Translation (NLT) "You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things and they exist because you created what you pleased."

Prayer: "Dear Heavenly Father,  Today, I just want to pause to praise Your holy name and adore You for who you are -- the Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer of all things!  I'm not asking for anything.  I'm not praying for anyone.  I just want to lift You up and give You the honor and praise that You so rightly deserve. Bible Verse: Romans 6:19 Good News Translation (GNT) "At one time you surrendered yourselves entirely as slaves to impurity and wickedness for wicked purposes. In the same way you must now surrender yourselves entirely as slaves of righteousness for holy purposes."

Prayer: "Dear Lord, In the past, I was often so self-serving.  All I cared about for awhile was finding some type of pleasure for myself.  But now that I have given my heart to You, I want You to take total control of my ever part of me -- my thoughts, my words, and my actions!  I surrender everything I am and everything I ever will be to You. Nov 17 - The Secret to Success

Bible Verse: Deuteronomy 8:18 New Living Translation (NLT) "Remember the Lord your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful."

Prayer: "Dear Lord, I can't even count how many infomercials I've seen by this person or that claiming that they have found the secret to untold wealth and prosperity.  You measure success differently, though.   To be successful in Your eyes, I simply need to love You with all my heart, all my soul, and all my strength and love my neighbor as myself - - and out of that love will flow a BELIEF SYSTEM and ACTIONS that reflect a permanent change in my life.  The ultimate success, though, will be when I can bow at your feet and hear you say, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant.'  Lord, keep my eyes focused on that goal of success that will last eternally, rather than on the temporary things of this life that may bring pleasure for a moment, but do not truly satisfy one's soul. In all that I do and say, Lord, help me to remember You! In Jesus' name, AMEN."

"Remember Me"

Remember Me
In a Bible cracked and faded by the years.
Remember Me
In a sanctuary filled with silent prayer.

And age to age
And heart to heart,
Bound by grace and peace.
Child of wonder,
Child of God,
I've remembered you,
Remember Me.

Remember Me
When the color of the sunset fills the sky
Remember Me
When you pray and tears of joy fall from your eyes.

And age to age
And heart to heart,
Bound by grace and peace.
Child of wonder
Child of God,
I've remembered you,
Remember Me

Remember Me
When the children leave their Sunday school with smiles
Remember Me
When they're old enough to teach,
Old enough to preach
Old enough to leave.

And age to age
And heart to heart
Bound by grace and peace
Child of wonder,
Child of God,
I've remembered you,
Remember Me.

Age to age
And heart to heart
Child of wonder
Child of God
Remember Me.

Nov 16 - The Harvest is Ready

Bible Verse: Luke 10:2 New Living Translation (NLT) "These were his instructions to them: 'The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask Him to send more workers into His fields.' "

Prayer: "Dear Lord, as I look around me, I see many people seeking for answers to 'the meaning of life.'   I know that when You spoke of the harvest being great, that you meant there were many people out there who still haven't heard the good news about salvation.  The neighborhoods around me are 'the fields' that You spoke of.  Lord, help me to be a willing working in your field.  May my life be an example to those around me that encourages them. Help me to band together with others who believe in You to reach those around us who don't yet know the wonderful peace that can be found in knowing that one's sins are forever forgiven.  Help us to bring in the harvest, Lord! In Jesus' name, AMEN."

Nov 15 - God Has a Plan

Bible Verse: John 16:33 New Living Translation (NLT) "Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."

Prayer: "Dear Jesus,  I KNOW I never would have made it through many of the things I've gone through without your help -- abuse, poverty, homelessness, unemployment, liver failure, chronic illnesses, problems with my children, doubt & despair.  There were many times that I simply wanted to GIVE UP! I still don't know the reason I had to go through those things, but I know that you had some purpose in mind for allowing those trials in my life -- and I thank You and I praise You for bringing me safely through to the other side.  Life still isn't perfect, but You have promised never to leave me or forsake me, and I claim that promise, Lord. I do not know what lies ahead -- maybe it will be smooth sailing from here on out, or maybe there will be more storms ahead, but regardless of what comes, I know that with You by my side, I can handle anything the comes my way. In Your precious name I pray, AMEN."

"Never Would Have Made It"

Never would have made it,
Never could have made it, without You
I would have lost it all,

But now I see how You were there for me

And I can say
Never would have made it,
Never could have made it,
Without You!

I would have lost it all,
But I now how I see

How You were there for me and I can say:
I'm stronger, I'm wiser, I'm better,
Much better!

When I look back over all You brought me thru.
I can see that You that were the one I held on to
And I never,
Never would have made it

Oh, I never could have made it
(Never could have made it without you)

Oh I would have lost it all,

Oh but now I see how You were there for me

I never
(Never would have made it)

No, I never
(Never could have made it without you)

I would have lost my mind

A long time ago, if it had not been for you.

I, I, I, I, I
I'm stronger
I'm stronger

I'm  wiser
I'm wiser

Now I'm better
I'm better

So much better
Much better

I made it thru my storm and my test

Because you were there
To carry me thru my mess

I'm stronger
I'm stronger
I'm wiserI'm wiserI'm betterI'm better

Anybody better?
Much better!

I made it, I made it, I made it, I made it,
I made it, I made it, I made it, I made it!

Never would have made it
Never would have made it

Oh yeah ....
Never could have made it without you

Someone just need to testify next to them and tell them:

I'm stronger, I'm wiser, I'm better, much better.  I made it!
Is there anybody in this house
other than me that can declare you made it?
Tell your neighbor: never would have made it.
Never would have made it.
Tell them: Never could have made it.
Never could have made it without you.

Nov 14 - Ring the Bells of Heaven!

Bible Verse: Luke 15:4-7 New Living Translation (NLT) "If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!"

Prayer: "Dear Lord,  I cannot imagine the joy there must have been in heaven when I finally surrendered my life to You. You were calling me for so long, but I had so much other "noise" in my life that I simply couldn't hear Your voice.  It wasn't until I gave up trying to live my life on my own terms and let You into my heart that I realized You had been waiting patiently for me all along.  Help me to be patient with others who may be hearing Your voice calling, Lord, but perhaps aren't quite ready to surrender to You.  Help me to let the Holy Spirit do the job of convicting them of their sin and help me to simply show them love and compassion as You did to the lost souls that crossed Your path.  May my life encourage others to answer Your call and let You into their hearts. This I pray in Jesus' name, AMEN."

"Ring the Bells of Heaven"

Ring the bells of Heaven! There is joy today,
For a soul, returning from the wild!
See, the Father meets him out upon the way,
Welcoming His weary, wand'ring child.

Glory! Glory! How the angels sing:
Glory! Glory! How the loud harps ring!
‘Tis the ransomed army, like a mighty sea,
Pealing forth the anthem of the free.
Ring the bells of Heaven! There is joy today,
For a wand'rer now is reconciled;
Yes, a soul is rescued from his sinful way,
And is born anew a ransomed child.

Glory! Glory! How the angels sing:
Glory! Glory! How the loud harps ring!
‘Tis the ransomed army, like a mighty sea,
Pealing forth the anthem of the free.
Ring the bells of Heaven! Spread the feast today!
Angels, swell the glad triumphant strain!
Tell the joyful tidings, bear it far away,
For a precious soul is born again!

Glory! Glory! How the angels sing:
Glory! Glory! How the loud harps ring!
‘Tis the ransomed army, like a mighty sea,
Pealing forth the anthem of the free.
We'll sing the anthem of the free!

Nov 13 - Jesus Filled My Heart With Love

Bible Verse:  1 Timothy 1:14 New Living Translation (NLT) "Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was! He filled me with the faith and love that come from Christ Jesus."

Prayer: "Dear Lord, For so long I searched for fulfillment. I wasted countless hours, days, months, and even years on things that didn't bring me any peace.  Instead, they brought me shame, guilt, debt, and dishonor.  But since I've surrendered my life to You, You have filled my heart with such love and peace. My life is far from perfect -- I still have problems. That will never change, but thanks to Your presence in my heart, my life has meaning and purpose now. I'm not simply surviving anymore, but thanks to You, I am THRIVING and living a joyful life committed to serving You and others.  Help me not to keep Your love to myself, but to share it with everyone around me.  Thank You Jesus for loving me! Nov 12 - Forever Changed!

Bible Verse: Luke 8:43-48 New Living Translation (NLT) "A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding, and she could find no cure. Coming up behind Jesus, she touched the fringe of his robe. Immediately, the bleeding stopped. 'Who touched me?' Jesus asked. Everyone denied it, and Peter said, 'Master, this whole crowd is pressing up against you.' But Jesus said, 'Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out from me.' When the woman realized that she could not stay hidden, she began to tremble and fell to her knees in front of Him. The whole crowd heard her explain why she had touched him and that she had been immediately healed. 'Daughter,' He said to her, 'your faith has made you well. Go in peace.'"

Prayer: "Dear Lord, If only I could have the kind of faith that this woman had - - to trust that if only I could touch You, I would be healed.  Lord, I know that this woman went away changed forever, and that's how I feel about my relationship with You.  You have touched my life in such a way that I have no words to explain the changes that have taken place.  Once, all I felt was guilt and shame -- I felt as though nobody could possibly love me.  But then You came, and Your forgiveness, compassion, mercy, and grace touched me, and I know that I will NEVER be the same.  Thank You Jesus for touching my life! In Your precious name I pray, AMEN."

He serves in the Army National Guard.

Bible Verse: Genesis 12:2 New Living Translation (NLT) "I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others."

Prayer: "Dear Lord,  As we remember those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms that we enjoy in this grand country of ours, may we never take their sacrifice for granted.  I thank You for all the men and women who have served and are currently serving our country in every branch of the military.  They are truly brave souls who have committed themselves to protecting the liberties that we hold dear in America. And I had to start again with just my children and my wife
I'd thank my lucky stars to be livin' here today
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can't take that away

And I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me
And I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA

From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee
Across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea
From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA
Well, there's pride in every American heart
And it's time we stand and say that

I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me
And I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA

I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me
And I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA

Nov 10 - Closer to God

Bible Verse: Hebrews 10:19-23 New Living Translation (NLT) "And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By His death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise."

Prayer: "Dear Heavenly Father,  I thank You and I Praise You for sending Your Son to be my High Priest, my Mediator, my Way of access to Your throne.  Because of His sacrifice on the cross on my behalf, I can come directly to You in prayer. I don't need to have anyone else pray for me.  I don't need anyone else to offer me forgiveness or to tell me that I am forgiven -- I can come straight to You! Lord, draw me closer to You, I pray.  Help me to be faithful in reading my Bible and praying, so that I can get to know You better and better each day.  I want to be nearer to You, Lord.  Help me to approach You with a sincere and trusting heart. I want to be more like You.  Work in my life to make me the servant that You want me to be, I pray. In Jesus' name, AMEN."
