I Must Tell Jesus

Bible Verse: Ephesians 6:18 "Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere." New Living Translation (NLT)

Prayer: "Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You so much for the gift of prayer. Just knowing that I can come to You with any request, knowing that I can pour my heart out to You at any time of the night or day means the world to me. I pray for healing. I pray for strength. I pray for financial wisdom -- that we might soon be free from debt. I thank You for all of Your answers to prayer that You have given us recently and I praise You for Your marvelous faithfulness in all things. There is no other name in Heaven or on earth that has the same power as the name of Jesus, and it is in His name that I ask these things, Amen."

I must tell Jesus all of my trials;
I cannot bear these burdens alone;
In my distress He kindly will help me;
He ever loves and cares for His own.

I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
I cannot bear my burdens alone;
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.

I must tell Jesus all of my troubles;
He is a kind, compassionate Friend;
If I but ask Him, He will deliver,
And in my griefs with me He will blend.

I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
I cannot bear my burdens alone;
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.

Tempted and tried I need a great Savior,
One who can help my burdens to bear;
I must tell Jesus, I must tell Jesus;
He all my cares and sorrows will share.

I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
I cannot bear my burdens alone;
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.

O how the world to evil allures me!
O how my heart is tempted to sin!
I must tell Jesus; He will enable
Over the world the vic’try to win.

I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
I cannot bear my burdens alone;
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.

Let the Truth Be Told

Bible Verse: Psalm 90:8 "You spread out our sins before you -- our secret sins -- and you see them all." New Living Translation (NLT)

Prayer: "Dear Lord, I know that you see the innermost parts of my heart and soul. You see even the secret sins that I try to hide. The thing is, truth be told, I only show the smiles to others and keep saying 'I'm fine' to others when really, on the inside, I'm not fine. Inside, sometimes, I feel broken and useless. I'm thankful that you not only see my sins, but you see my sadness. You fill up the broken places in my heart with Your Spirit, wiht Your eternal love, and with Your grace in a way that only You can. Comfort me, Father. Calm me. Restore me. Renew me. Even in my hidden places that nobody else can see, because if the truth were told, those places really need Your help! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Burdens Are Lifted At Calvary

Bible Verse: Matthew 11:30 "For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light." New Living Translation (NLT)

Prayer: "Dear Lord, I thank You that I can take ALL of my burdens to You and leave them at the cross. Help me not to go back and try to pick my worries back up again, though. I think I tend to do that too much! Please help me to leave my concerns with You and let You worry about things -- after all, you've got the whole universe in Your hands anyhow! Thank You for giving me such peace in my soul and for granting me the grace and forgiveness that Your sacrifice on Calvary allows me. In Jesus' precious name I pray, Amen."

Days are filled with sorrow and care
Hearts are lonely and drear
Burdens are lifted at Calvary
Jesus is very near

Burdens are lifted at Calvary
Calvary, Calvary
Burdens are lifted at Calvary
Jesus is very near

Cast your care on Jesus today
Leave your worry and fear
Burdens are lifted at Calvary
Jesus is very neary

Burdens are lifted at Calvary
Calvary, Calvary
Burdens are lifted at Calvary
Jesus is very near

Troubled soul, the Savior can see
Every heartache and tear;
Burdens are lifted at Calvary
Jesus is very near.

Burdens are lifted at Calvary
Calvary, Calvary
Burdens are lifted at Calvary
Jesus is very near

At the Cross Where Love Ran Red

Verse: Romans 5:8 "But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." New Living Translation (NLT)

Prayer: "Dear God, I bow down at Your cross today in total awe of who You are and what You have done for me. I owe everything I am to You. You made it possible for me to be right with You in a way that I NEVER could have done on my own, for I am not worthy. My sin would have kept me forever separate from You. But thanks to Your loving sacrifice on the cross, I can now approach You as Your friend and truly, Your child. Thank You, Jesus, for all that You did at the cross. Amen."

Christ the Lord is Risen Today

Bible Verse: John 11:25 "Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying." New Living Translation (NLT)

Prayer: "Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You and I Praise You this blessed Resurrection morning that You raised Jesus from the grave, forever banishing sin and death from the universe and giving me the blessed hope of eternal life with You in Heaven one day. I know that because I have placed my faith and trust in Jesus as my Savior that I will reign with Him in glory forever and ever, and that these temporary trials that I'm facing on earth will one day be NO MORE because He rose up from that grave and trampled death beneath His feet! Hallelujah! Thank You Father! Amen."

Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia!

Love's redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids him rise, Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!

Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once he died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where's thy victory, boasting grave? Alleluia!

Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like him, like him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

God Only Knows

Bible Verse: Hebrews 4:15 "This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin." New Living Translation (NLT)

Prayer: "Dear Lord, There are times when I think that You could not possibly understand what I'm going through -- the pain, the loneliness, the anxiety, the depression, the guilt, and the shame. But then I'm reminded of how the Bible says that You faced all of the same things that we do, so I know that YOU KNOW. You get it! Thank You for being the kind of God who cares about my everyday life, from the big things to the small things -- for being there for me no matter what. In Jesus' precious name I pray, Amen."

Oh, How I Love Jesus!

Bible Verse: 1 John 4:19 "We love Him because He first loved us." New King James Version (NKJV)

Prayer: "Dear Lord, Thank You for showing me what true love is by dying for me on the cross. Your sacrifice reminds me of what a real friend truly is -- You laid Your life down for me when I really had nothing to offer You in return but my sinful life. I give You my heart today, as I have done before, rededicating myself to You. Take me just as I am and help me to be more like You each and every day. Walk with me and show me the way I should be, Lord. Guide each step that I take. I love You, Lord. Amen."

There is a name I love to hear,
I love to sing its worth;
it sounds like music in my ear,
the sweetest name on earth.

O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
because he first loved me!

It tells me of a Savior's love,
who died to set me free;
it tells me of his precious blood,
the sinner's perfect plea.

O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
because he first loved me!

It tells of one whose loving heart
can feel my deepest woe;
who in each sorrow bears a part
that none can bear below.

O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
because he first loved me!

You've Already Won

Bible Verse: John 16:33 (Jesus Speaking)" 'I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.' " New Living Translation (NLT)

Prayer: "Dear Jesus, I thank You for dying on the cross for me so that I could know for sure what will happen in the end because I have put my faith in You. I know that You have already defeated death and evil. The devil has no hold on me anymore, and even though I still sin, it isn't my habit or my friend. You are my source of strength and I know that You are always victorious. In the end, I know that Good will prosper, even though it looks as if evil does well around us here on earth. Remind me, Lord, that in the light of eternity, all of this temporary success is nothing. Fix my eyes on Heaven, and keep me focused on the things of God. Help me to run the race that you've set before me, knowing that You have already won the battle for me -- I just have to keep my hand in Yours. Hold me tight, Lord, and don't let go! In Your precious and Holy name I pray, Amen."

Grace That Is Greater Than All Our Sins

Bible Verse: Romans 5:21 "So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." New Living Translation (NLT)

Prayer: "Dear Lord, Thank You so much for giving me the grace that I don't deserve -- the unmerited favor and standing in Your eyes that I never could have earned on my own. Without Jesus' help, I would have just been a wandering soul, lost in this world, seeking my own way in all things. But since He died for me on the cross, I have mercy and pardon for all of my sins, and even though my sins are great, Your grace is far greater. Thank You for Your bountiful forgiveness and mercy. Help me to show the same compassion to others that You thave shown to me. You have blessed me with so much, Lord. Help me to share your grace with others. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Marvelous grace of our loving Lord,
Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt!
Yonder on Calvary's mount out-poured–
There where the blood of the Lamb was spilt.

Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that is greater than all our sin!

Sin and despair, like the sea-waves cold,
Threaten the soul with infinite loss;
Grace that is greater– yes, grace untold–
Points to the Refuge, the mighty Cross.

Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that is greater than all our sin!

Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace,
Freely bestowed on all who believe!
All who are longing to see His face,
Will you this moment His grace receive?

Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that is greater than all our sin!

I'll Show You the Cross

.

Bible Verse: Galatians 6:14 "As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ." New Living Translation (NLT)

Prayer: "Dear Lord, Help me to come to the cross with my burdens and remember that no matter how much I may think I have suffered, that You suffered more. And when others are hurting, help me to be able to reflect the kind of love that You would -- compassion and empathy, not just sympathy. Help me to lead them to Your cross with a kindness that only You could give. Thank You for Your grace and mercy. Give me the faith I need to keep on trusting in You, I pray. In Jesus' name, Amen."

The Wonder of it All

Psalm 36:6 "Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O Lord." New Living Translation (NLT)

Prayer: "Dear Heavenly Father, I praise You and thank You for all of nature and for the beauty You have placed all around me to remind me of Your great love for me. Every day, I see in the small and large things, whether the animals or the plants -- even the lakes and forests -- I see in all these things Your great power and love. Thank You for leaving these reminders for me of Your presence in creation and Your love for all creatures big and small. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."

Even If You Don't

Bible Verse:

Daniel 3:16-18 "Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. But even if He doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.” " New Living Translation (NLT)

Prayer: "Dear Lord, Help me to be like those faithful men of old who said that even if You didn't save them, they would still remain faithful to You no matter what. There are so many times when I know that You have the power to to something and I wonder why it seems as if You don't act. Maybe You do and I just don't know about it, or maybe You choose to move in a different way. Maybe You say 'no' or 'wait awhile.' I don't know. But whatever the case, give me the faith to trust in You -- to trust that You know what is best, even if I can't see what You are doing. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."

Fill My Cup, Lord

Bible Verse:

John 4:10 "Jesus replied, “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.” " New Living Translation (NLT)

Prayer: "Dear Lord, please come fill my heart with Your love and help me to be more like You. These days my heart is heavy and I don't always know what the right thing is to do, but You know my heart and my soul. Show me the way, Lord. Fill my cup, Lord. I lift it up to You. Brighter Days Are Coming!

Bible Verse:

Matthew 14:27

"But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!” " New Living Translation (NLT)

Prayer: "Dear Lord, Even when life wears me down and the darkness seems to surround me, please remind me that You are here with me and that brighter days are just around the corner. I know that You are with me wherever I go, and that even when this godless world brings me down, I can still have hope in You. Remind me that what I see around me is just a small piece of the grander picture that You have planned for humanity -- that You have unlimited resources to help me. Strengthen me, Lord. Encourage me. Calvary Covers It ALL!

Bible Verse:

Ephesians 1:7  "He is so rich in kindness and grace that He purchased our freedom with the blood of His Son and forgave our sins." New Living Translation (NLT)

Prayer: "Dear Lord, I am so thankful that Your sacrifice on the cross means that no matter how many times I mess up, I can continue to come to You and ask for forgiveness. That doesn't mean I should make a habit of sinning, but I know that I'm human and will keep making mistakes.  These days it seems like I've been making a lot of them. I'm so sorry! Please forgive me!  Wash out my heart and make me new again! Help me to feel excited about You the way that I did when I first gave my heart to You. I miss that feeling . . . I miss walking with You and trusting You like a little child would. Bring me back to that, Lord.  Don't give up on me, please. I do love You! In Jesus' name, Amen."

Lyrics Below

Verse 1:
Far dearer than all
That the world can impart
Was the message that came to my heart
How that Jesus alone
For my sin did atone
And Calvary covers it all

CHORUS
Calvary covers it all
My past with its sin and stain
My guilt and despair
Jesus took on Him there
And Calvary covers it all

Verse 2:
The stripes that He bore
And the thorns that He wore
Told His mercy and love evermore
And my heart bowed in shame
As I called on His name
And Calvary covers it all

CHORUS
Calvary covers it all
My past with its sin and stain
My guilt and despair
Jesus took on Him there
And Calvary covers it all

Verse: 3
How matchless the grace
When I looked on the face
Of this Jesus my crucified Lord
My redemption complete
I then found at His feet
And Calvary covers it all

CHORUS
Calvary covers it all
My past with its sin and stain
My guilt and despair
Jesus took on Him there
And Calvary covers it all

Verse 4:
How blessed the thought
That my soul by Him bought
Shall be His in the glory on high
Where with gladness and song
I'll be one of the throng
And Calvary covers it all

CHORUS
Calvary covers it all
My past with its sin and stain
My guilt and despair
Jesus took on Him there
And Calvary covers it all

Maybe We Don't Have to Have It All Together

Bible Verse:
Psalm 147:3 "He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds." New Living Translation (NLT)

Prayer: "Dear Heavenly Father, So many times I feel as if I really don't have my life together.  Who am I to possibly give anyone else advice or counsel when I am just as broken and fallen as they are?  But then you remind me that each one of us can be an encouragement to another, regardless of what state we're in, so long as we are surrendered to Your Holy Spirit.  Please refocus my heart, Lord, and help me not to lose faith when I see the world around me going down the drain so quickly.  Remain first and foremost in my life and keep me walking close to you. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Mar 12 - Let Us Break Bread Together

Bible Verse:

1 Corinthians 10:15-17 Living Bible (TLB) "You are intelligent people. Look now and see for yourselves whether what I am about to say is true. When we ask the Lord’s blessing upon our drinking from the cup of wine at the Lord’s Table, this means, doesn’t it, that all who drink it are sharing together the blessing of Christ’s blood? And when we break off pieces of the bread from the loaf to eat there together, this shows that we are sharing together in the benefits of his body.  No matter how many of us there are, we all eat from the same loaf, showing that we are all parts of the one body of Christ."

Prayer: "Dear Heavenly Father,  When we come together to partake of the Lord's Supper/Communion, please help us to remember what unifies us as Believers, rather than what separates us -- that we do these things in REMEMBRANCE of Christ's sacrifice on the cross for our sins. Keep us from petty differences of opinion, and lead us to a closer walk with You. In Jesus' precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."
