Feb 29 - God Makes All Things New!

Bible Verse: Revelation 21:5 New Living Translation (NLT) "And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!”

Prayer: "Dear Lord,  Not only have You created a new heart in me, but You have promised that one day You will wipe away all of the nasty filth of this world and recreate it into a new heavens and a new earth.  I can't wait for that day when I can behold the wonder of Your creation as it was meant to be, perfect in every aspect and totally amazing, awesome, and wonderful.  May I live faithfully each day as I wait for Your soon return, I pray.  In Jesus' precious and holy name, AMEN."

Feb 28 - Perfect Peace and Rest

Bible Verse: Isaiah 33:21 New Living Translation (NLT) "The Lord will be our Mighty One. He will be like a wide river of protection that no enemy can cross, that no enemy ship can sail upon."

Prayer: "Dear Lord, I am so thankful that I can find protection, rest, and perfect peace in You.  Thank You for calming my soul when worry threatens to overcome me.  Your perfect peace that passes all understanding is better than any anti-anxiety medication known to mankind! Send Your Holy Spirit to hover over me and keep me in the shadow of Your wings as I face uncertain days.  Remind me that I have nothing to worry about, because you are ALWAYS in control of EVERY situation. In Jesus' precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

Like a River Glorious

Like a river glorious is God’s perfect peace,
Over all victorious, in its bright increase;
Perfect, yet it floweth, fuller every day,
Perfect, yet it groweth, deeper all the way.

Stayed upon Jehovah, hearts are fully blest
Finding, as He promised, perfect peace and rest.

Hidden in the hollow of His blessed hand,
Never foe can follow, never traitor stand;
Not a surge of worry, not a shade of care,
Not a blast of hurry touch the spirit there.

Stayed upon Jehovah, hearts are fully blest
Finding, as He promised, perfect peace and rest.

Every joy or trial falleth from above,
Traced upon our dial by the Son of Love;
We may trust Him fully, all for us to do;
They who trust Him wholly, find Him wholly true.

Stayed upon Jehovah, hearts are fully blest
Finding, as He promised, perfect peace and rest.

Feb 27 - We Remember You

Bible Verse: Mark 14:22-24 New Living Translation (NLT) "As they were eating, Jesus took some bread and blessed it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, "Take it, for this is my body." And he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. And he said to them, "This is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice for many."

Prayer: "Dear Lord, Each time I partake in communion, I bow my head and silently remember how great a sacrifice You truly made to save me.  I am so unworthy, and yet You saved me anyhow.  Lord, help me to never forget that Your blood was spilled and Your body was beaten for me! And each time I drink of the communion cup and eat the communion wafer, may I sincerely examine my heart and my soul and get rid of anything that would stand between me and You having a good relationship.  Help me to get rid of the sin in my life so that I can walk more closely to You.  May I use each communion time as a time of self-reflection and humble worship of You, Almighty God. In Your precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

Feb 26 - I'm Not Crazy, I'm Saved!

Bible Verse: Romans 10:13 New Living Translation (NLT) "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Prayer: "Dear Lord,  I will sing Your praise until I no longer have a voice, for You have saved me from my sin.  The precious blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ, has washed away my sin and saved me from hell.  I now have the assurance of everlasting life in Heaven with You because of His sacrifice on the cross. People may think that I take this "Jesus thing" too seriously, but it seems to me that Jesus took my salvation pretty seriously when He willingly gave up His life to save me.  I could never praise You enough for all that You have done! In Jesus' precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

Saved by the Blood

Saved by the blood of the Crucified One!
Now ransomed from sin and a new work begun,
Sing praise to the Father and praise to the Son,
Saved by the blood of the Crucified One!

Saved (Glory, I'm saved!)
Saved (Glory, I'm saved!)
My sins are all pardoned, my guilt is all gone!

Saved (Glory, I'm saved!) Saved (Glory, I'm saved!)
I’m saved by the blood of the Crucified One!

Saved by the blood of the Crucified One!
The angels rejoicing because it is done;
A child of the Father, joint heir with the Son,
Saved by the blood of the Crucified One!

Saved (Glory, I'm saved!) Saved (Glory, I'm saved!)
My sins are all pardoned, my guilt is all gone!

Saved (Glory, I'm saved!) Saved (Glory, I'm saved!)
I’m saved by the blood of the Crucified One!

Saved by the blood of the Crucified One!
The Father--He spake, and His will--it was done;
Great price of my pardon, His own precious Son;

All hail to the Father, all hail to the Son,
All hail to the Spirit, the great Three in One!
Saved by the blood of the Crucified One!

Saved (Glory, I'm saved!) Saved (Glory, I'm saved!)
My sins are all pardoned, my guilt is all gone!

Saved (Glory, I'm saved!) Saved (Glory, I'm saved!) I’m saved by the blood of the Crucified One!

Bible Verse: Revelation 19:6 New Living Translation (NLT) "Praise the Lord! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns."

Prayer: "Dear Lord,  God, You are more amazing than words can express.  How can You keep the planets in orbit?  How can You save a wicked soul like mine and turn me into something useful, a vessel to be used by You?  You are truly holy and worthy of all my praise.  I worship You, today, Lord God, and bow humbly before You in pure adoration.  You leave me speechless in awe and wonder.  You are the King of kings!  Please accept my offering of praise, oh Lord. Prayer: "Dear Lord, I come to you today, wretched sinner that I am asking nothing but Your forgiveness and cleansing.  I claim Your shed blood on the cross to cover my sins and give me a new heart.  I come just as I am.  I have nothing to offer but my sincerely repentant heart. Feb 23 - Let All the Earth Praise the Lord!

Bible Verse: Revelation 19:6 New Living Translation (NLT) "Then I heard again what sounded like the shout of a vast crowd or the roar of mighty ocean waves or the crash of loud thunder: "Praise the Lord, For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns."

Prayer: "Dear Lord,  How wonderful to know that there are people in almost every country of the world who daily lift their voices up to You in prayer and praise! I like to think of it as one majestic choir, all worshiping You together with one voice -- praising You, our Heavenly Father for all that You have done -- and you hear us all and understand us all, in every language under the sun!  Thank You, Lord, for everything that You have done -- You are truly worthy of all of our praise! Feb 22 - My Sins Are Washed Away!

Bible Verse: Titus 3:5 New Living Translation (NLT) "He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit."

Prayer: "Dear Lord, Whenever I hear this hymn, I am reminded of the day that I was baptized.  I had already accepted You into my heart as my Lord and Savior, but there was something beyond special about coming up out of the water and hearing them singing this song.  Just to think -- that Your blood covers ALL of my sins -- past, present, and future -- is mind boggling to me.  Thank you, Jesus, for dying on the cross for me so that I can have the assurance of eternal life in Heaven with You. In Your precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

The Cleansing Wave

O now I see the cleansing wave!
  The fountain deep and wide;
Jesus, my Lord, mighty to save,
  Points to His wounded side.

The cleansing stream I see, I see;
I plunge, and O it cleanseth me!
O praise the Lord it cleanseth me!
  It cleanseth me, yes, cleanseth me.

I see the new creation rise;
I hear the speaking blood.
It speaks! Polluted nature dies!
Sinks ’neath the cleansing flood.

The cleansing stream I see, I see;
I plunge, and O it cleanseth me!
O praise the Lord it cleanseth me!
  It cleanseth me, yes, cleanseth me.

I rise to walk in God’s own light
  Above the world and sin,
With heart renewed and garments white
  And Christ enthroned within.

The cleansing stream I see, I see;
I plunge, and O it cleanseth me!
O praise the Lord it cleanseth me!
  It cleanseth me, yes, cleanseth me.

Amazing grace! ’tis Heav’n below
To feel the blood applied,
And Jesus, only Jesus know,
My Jesus crucified.

The cleansing stream I see, I see;
I plunge, and O it cleanseth me!
O praise the Lord it cleanseth me!
  It cleanseth me, yes, cleanseth me.

Feb 21 - Just Be Held

Bible Verse: 1 John 5:18 New Living Translation (NLT) "For God’s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them."

Prayer: "Dear Lord,  How marvelous it is to know that no matter what life thros at me, I can rest in Your promise to hold me and to NEVER let go.  The evil one has no power over me, for You won the victory on the cross and vanquished sin forever.  Help me to remember this when I try to fight the battle against the sin in my life on my own -- that it's pointless to do this without Your help, for on my own I am NOTHING. Please, Lord, help me to stop in the middle of my mess and just let You hold me! In Jesus' precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

Bible Verse: Isaiah 25:4 New Living Translation (NLT) "But you are a tower of refuge to the poor, O Lord, a tower of refuge to the needy in distress.You are a refuge from the storm."

Prayer: "Dear Lord,  There are many times when it seems that I am indeed walking through "a weary land."  At the end of the day, after merely "surviving" what life has thrown at me, I fall into bed oh so weary.  It is so comforting to know that no matter what I face -- nightmares in the dark or challenges by day, that You walk beside me and not only that -- You shelter me from the worst of the storm.  Thank You, Jesus, for being my Refuge! In Your precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

A Shelter in the Time of Storm

The Lord's our Rock, in Him we hide,
A shelter in the time of storm;
Secure whatever ill betide,
A shelter in the time of storm.

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,
A weary land, a weary land,
Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,
A shelter in the time of storm.

A shade by day, defense by night,
A shelter in the time of storm;
No fears alarm, no foes afright,
A shelter in the time of storm.

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,
A weary land, a weary land,
Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,
A shelter in the time of storm.

The raging storms may round us beat,
A shelter in the time of storm;
We'll never leave our safe retreat,
A shelter in the time of storm.

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,
A weary land, a weary land,
Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,
A shelter in the time of storm.

O Rock Divine, O Refuge dear,
A shelter in the time of storm;
Be Thou our Helper ever near,
A shelter in the time of storm.

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,
A weary land, a weary land,
Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,
A shelter in the time of storm.

Feb 19 - In Christ Alone

Bible Verse: Jude 25 New Living Translation (NLT) "All glory to Him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are His before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen."

Prayer: "Dear Jesus, I place myself into Your hands.  You alone have the power to save, and I thank You for saving me.  Because of You, I have no fear of anything in this life. I have no fear of sickness or death, for I know that no matter what comes my way, You will be there walking beside me.  You alone give me hope, strength, and the ability to continue on walking this rocky trail.  I bless You and praise Your holy name, for You are worthy, You are my everything and I stand here trusting in You alone.  You left Your kingly throne, became a human, and went through hell for me.  And so, dear Lord, I stand purified in the sight of God because of Your sacrifice on the cross.  Thank You, Jesus, for who You are.  You are my very best friend and I thank You for walking beside me every day! In Your precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

Feb 18 - He Is Enough!

Bible Verse: Deuteronomy 7:9 New Living Translation (NLT) "Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps His covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes His unfailing love on those who love Him and obey his commands."

Prayer: "Oh Lord, I come before You today begging and pleading for Your grace and mercy.  Please remind me that YOU ARE ENOUGH, that You are MORE THAN ENOUGH to carry me through what I am facing.  May I fully trust You to save me from my sins and to free me from my addictions.  May I fully realize that Your sacrifice on the cross fully cleanses me from ALL unrighteousness, that You really ARE the MIGHTY GOD, all-powerful and ever faithful. Lord Jesus, may I rest in the knowledge that it is ENOUGH that you died for me! In Your precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

My Faith Has Found a Resting Place

My faith has found a resting place,
  Not in device nor creed;
I trust the Ever-living One,
  His wounds for me shall plead.

I need no other argument,
  I need no other plea;
It is enough that Jesus died,
    And that He died for me.

Enough for me that Jesus saves,
  This ends my fear and doubt;
A sinful soul I come to Him,
  He’ll never cast me out.

I need no other argument,
  I need no other plea;
It is enough that Jesus died,
    And that He died for me.

My great Physician heals the sick,
  The lost He came to save;
For me His precious blood He shed,
  For me His life He gave.

I need no other argument,
  I need no other plea;
It is enough that Jesus died,
    And that He died for me.

My heart is leaning on the Word,
  The written Word of God,
Salvation by my Savior’s name,
  Salvation through His blood.

I need no other argument,
  I need no other plea;
It is enough that Jesus died,
    And that He died for me.

Feb 17 - Peace Be Still

Bible Verse: Mark 4:39 King James Version (KJV) "And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, 'Peace, be still.' And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm."

Prayer: "Dear Lord,  Sometimes I feel like I am being tossed among the waves and I cannot find my footing. I feel like I'm sinking and I'll never reach the surface again. I try to find my way on my own, but then I'm in even deeper waters, because on my own I just blindly struggle through the tide of my circumstances and trials.  Lord, help me reach for Your hand and learn to walk on top of the water. May Your Spirit strengthen my faith in You so that I trust You to hold me throughout ANY storm that may come my way. Lord, I'm calling out to You now . . . be my Guide, be my Strength, be my Savior, be my Everything.  Lord, You know what I need today.  Please comfort my soul and do as you did in that storm on the Sea of Galilee -- just say "Peace be still!" and may my soul learn to rest in You and trust You in all of the unknowns that life throws at me. In Jesus' precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

Feb 16 - Jesus Saves!

Bible Verse: Acts 16:31 New Living Translation (NLT) "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved."

Prayer: "Dear Lord,  I am so thankful that my salvation has nothing to do with anything that I could ever do or say.  On my own, I am nothing.  I wish I could SHOUT to the world, Jesus saves!  What a joyful sound!  I don't have to worry about where I will spend eternity when I die because I KNOW that I am saved because I have believed in You, Jesus, and claimed Your shed blood on the cross as the payment for my sins.  God no longer sees me as a wretched sinner -- though truly, that's what I am.  Because of my acceptance of Your sacrifce on the cross, God sees me as a FORGIVEN sinner, a child of the living God.  Thank You, Jesus, for saving me!  In Your precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

Jesus Saves!

We have heard the joyful sound:
  Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Spread the tidings all around:
  Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Bear the news to every land,
Climb the steeps and cross the waves;
Onward!—’tis our Lord’s command;
  Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Waft it on the rolling tide,
  Jesus saves, Jesus saves;
Tell to sinners far and wide,
  Jesus saves, Jesus saves;
Sing, ye islands of the sea,
Echo back, ye ocean caves;
Earth shall keep her jubilee,
  Jesus saves, Jesus saves.

Sing above the battle’s strife,
  Jesus saves, Jesus saves;
By His death and endless life,
  Jesus saves, Jesus saves;
Sing it softly thru the gloom,
When the heart for mercy craves,
Sing in triumph o’er the tomb,
  Jesus saves, Jesus saves.

Give the winds a mighty voice,
  Jesus saves, Jesus saves;
Let the nations now rejoice.
  Jesus saves, Jesus saves;
Shout salvation full and free,
Highest hills and deepest caves,
This our song of victory,
  Jesus saves, Jesus saves.

Feb 15 - Where the Healing Begins

Bible Verse: Proverbs 3:8 New Living Translation (NLT) "Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones."

Prayer: "Dear Lord,  So many times I have doubted Your ability to heal my body. I have questioned Your will in allowing bad things to happen to me.  I have built up elaborate walls to keep people out, because I don't want them to see the imperfections in my life. Ironically, though, it has often been those very "imperfections" that have connected me to other "sinners" just like me who are searching for a way out, for an end to their pain, for TRUE HEALING.  I thank You and I praise You, Jesus, for being my Healer.  Every day You take the broken pieces of who I have been and who I am and shape them into something beautiful -- and it is in ALLOWING YOU IN that I begin the healing process, not only in my body, but most importantly, IN MY SOULYOU are where the healing begins -- not in some doctor's or therapist's office.  Although you may use other professionals as Your tools, TRUE HEALING can only come from You.  I claim the promise in today's verse that You will provide healing for my body and strength for each day that I face. In Jesus' precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

Feb 14 - Love that Never Lets Go

Bible Verse: Jeremiah 31:3 New Living Translation (NLT) "I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself."

Prayer: "Dear Lord,  Thank you for putting a "God-shaped" hole in my heart that could only have been filled by You.  I searched for awhile for something to fill that void, but in the end, I came back to the only true love that has ever existed -- Yours!  And now, as the song says, "I hide my weary soul in Thee."  Your love is my comfort, my strength, my joy, and all that I need to keep me going. Although the love of earthly friends, family, and other loved ones is wonderful, it is nothing compared to Your unfailing love! In Jesus' precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

"Are You Washed in the Blood?"

Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing pow’r?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you walking daily by the Savior’s side?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

When the Bridegroom cometh will your robes be white?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Will your soul be ready for the mansions bright,
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb;
There’s a fountain flowing for the soul unclean,
Oh, be washed in the blood of the Lamb!

Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
