Feb 22 - My Sins Are Washed Away!

Bible Verse: Titus 3:5 New Living Translation (NLT) "He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit."

Prayer: "Dear Lord, Whenever I hear this hymn, I am reminded of the day that I was baptized.  I had already accepted You into my heart as my Lord and Savior, but there was something beyond special about coming up out of the water and hearing them singing this song.  Just to think -- that Your blood covers ALL of my sins -- past, present, and future -- is mind boggling to me.  Thank you, Jesus, for dying on the cross for me so that I can have the assurance of eternal life in Heaven with You. In Your precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

The Cleansing Wave

O now I see the cleansing wave!
  The fountain deep and wide;
Jesus, my Lord, mighty to save,
  Points to His wounded side.

The cleansing stream I see, I see;
I plunge, and O it cleanseth me!
O praise the Lord it cleanseth me!
  It cleanseth me, yes, cleanseth me.

I see the new creation rise;
I hear the speaking blood.
It speaks! Polluted nature dies!
Sinks ’neath the cleansing flood.

The cleansing stream I see, I see;
I plunge, and O it cleanseth me!
O praise the Lord it cleanseth me!
  It cleanseth me, yes, cleanseth me.

I rise to walk in God’s own light
  Above the world and sin,
With heart renewed and garments white
  And Christ enthroned within.

The cleansing stream I see, I see;
I plunge, and O it cleanseth me!
O praise the Lord it cleanseth me!
  It cleanseth me, yes, cleanseth me.

Amazing grace! ’tis Heav’n below
To feel the blood applied,
And Jesus, only Jesus know,
My Jesus crucified.

The cleansing stream I see, I see;
I plunge, and O it cleanseth me!
O praise the Lord it cleanseth me!
  It cleanseth me, yes, cleanseth me.
