Dec 10 - One Silent Night

Bible Verse: Luke 2:6-7 New Living Translation (NLT) "And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born. She gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them."

Prayer: "Dear Jesus,  As I begin to think about the Christmas season, I pray that I will not forget what the holiday is all about - - it is about that one silent night when You were born and ushered into the world the promise of redemption. Help me not to get caught up in the commercialization of Christmas, but rather to remember that it's all about You. In Your precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

"Silent Night"

Silent night, Holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin, mother and Child
Holy Infant, tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.

 Silent night, Holy night
Shepherds quake, at the sight
Glories stream from heaven above
Heavenly, hosts sing Hallelujah.
Christ the Savior is born,
Christ the Savior is born.
Silent night, Holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth,
Jesus, Lord ... Jesus, Lord ...
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth.
