Jan 11 - Lord, Keep Me Focused

Bible Verse: Colossians 1:19-20 New Living Translation (NLT)"For God in all His fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through Him God reconciled everything to Himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross."

Prayer: "Dear Heavenly FatherAs I go through the hustle and bustle of today, may I keep the cross ever before me.  Without Jesus dying on the cross, I would have no hope at all of being reconciled to You; but thanks to Him, I can boldy approach Your throne in prayer, knowing that You will hear and answer me. Help me to remember the incredible sacrifice that Jesus made for me and to live my life in such a way that I honor You with my words and my actions.  In Jesus' precious and holy name I pray, AMEN."

"Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross"

Jesus, keep me near the cross;
There a precious fountain,
Free to all, a healing stream,
Flows from Calvary's mountain.

In the cross, in the cross,

Be my glory ever,
Till my raptured soul shall find
Rest beyond the river.

Near the cross, a trembling soul,
Love and mercy found me;
There the bright and morning star
Sheds its beams around me.

In the cross, in the cross,
Be my glory ever,
Till my raptured soul shall find
Rest beyond the river.

Near the cross! O Lamb of God,

Bring its scenes before me;
Help me walk from day to day
With its shadow o'er me.

In the cross, in the cross,
Be my glory ever,
Till my raptured soul shall find
Rest beyond the river.

Near the cross I'll watch and wait,
Hoping, trusting ever,
Till I reach the golden strand
Just beyond the river.

In the cross, in the cross,
Be my glory ever,
Till my raptured soul shall find
Rest beyond the river.

Till my raptured soul shall find
Rest beyond the river.
