Nov 11 - Thank You for Serving!

My 18 year-old son returning from Basic Training.
He serves in the Army National Guard.

Bible Verse: Genesis 12:2 New Living Translation (NLT) "I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others."

Prayer: "Dear Lord,  As we remember those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms that we enjoy in this grand country of ours, may we never take their sacrifice for granted.  I thank You for all the men and women who have served and are currently serving our country in every branch of the military.  They are truly brave souls who have committed themselves to protecting the liberties that we hold dear in America. I pray for those who are currently deployed in every corner of the world. I pray for peace for their families and for their protection -- bring them home safely! This I pray in Jesus' name, AMEN."

"God Bless The USA"
If tomorrow all the things were gone I'd worked for all my life
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife
I'd thank my lucky stars to be livin' here today
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can't take that away

And I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me
And I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA

From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee
Across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea
From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA
Well, there's pride in every American heart
And it's time we stand and say that

I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me
And I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA

I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me
And I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA
