Nov 17 - The Secret to Success

Bible Verse: Deuteronomy 8:18 New Living Translation (NLT) "Remember the Lord your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful."

Prayer: "Dear Lord, I can't even count how many infomercials I've seen by this person or that claiming that they have found the secret to untold wealth and prosperity.  You measure success differently, though.   To be successful in Your eyes, I simply need to love You with all my heart, all my soul, and all my strength and love my neighbor as myself - - and out of that love will flow a BELIEF SYSTEM and ACTIONS that reflect a permanent change in my life.  The ultimate success, though, will be when I can bow at your feet and hear you say, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant.'  Lord, keep my eyes focused on that goal of success that will last eternally, rather than on the temporary things of this life that may bring pleasure for a moment, but do not truly satisfy one's soul. In all that I do and say, Lord, help me to remember You! In Jesus' name, AMEN."

"Remember Me"

Remember Me
In a Bible cracked and faded by the years.
Remember Me
In a sanctuary filled with silent prayer.

And age to age
And heart to heart,
Bound by grace and peace.
Child of wonder,
Child of God,
I've remembered you,
Remember Me.

Remember Me
When the color of the sunset fills the sky
Remember Me
When you pray and tears of joy fall from your eyes.

And age to age
And heart to heart,
Bound by grace and peace.
Child of wonder
Child of God,
I've remembered you,
Remember Me

Remember Me
When the children leave their Sunday school with smiles
Remember Me
When they're old enough to teach,
Old enough to preach
Old enough to leave.

And age to age
And heart to heart
Bound by grace and peace
Child of wonder,
Child of God,
I've remembered you,
Remember Me.

Age to age
And heart to heart
Child of wonder
Child of God
Remember Me.
