July 4 - God Bless the USA

Bible Verse: 1 Timothy 2:1-2 New Living Translation (NLT) "I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity."

Prayer: "Dear Lord, I thank you for the freedoms that we enjoy in this great country of ours. Compared to many countries around the world where Christians are being greatly persecuted, we still enjoy many freedoms here in this country that we often take for granted. I pray for our country's leaders, that they might lead in a way that is glorifying to You. And may we as citizens be aware of what is happening in the world around us and not be afraid to stand up for what we know is right. Even though at times things may to gradually be decaying morally in our country, we know that this is just a sign of Your soon return and we ought to rejoice at the thought of being nearer to Heaven. Help us to lead others by our example and lead Godly and dignified lives. In Jesus' name, AMEN."
